Workflow

From broker login to a live strategy

Deploying a strategy follows a simple, repeatable process: connect your broker, define your rules, validate with data, and go live.

  1. 01

    Connect your broker

Authenticate your SEBI-registered broker account with its official API credentials. Algosetrade talks to your broker the same way the broker’s own terminal does — your funds and positions never move anywhere else.

    What you’ll need
    • An active account with a supported SEBI-registered broker
    • API credentials from your broker’s developer console
    • Keys are encrypted at rest the moment you save them
  2. 02

    Build the strategy

Pick a structure from the catalog — straddle, strangle, condor, spread — or assemble your own legs. Set the entry window, strike logic, premium filters, and every exit rule from structured options, not code.

    You decide
    • Legs, strikes (ATM / ITM / OTM), and lot sizes
    • Entry time or indicator triggers
    • Stop-loss, targets, trailing rules, re-entry
  3. 03

    Backtest until the numbers hold

Run the exact rule set against historical tick data. Review performance metrics like expectancy and drawdown with slippage and charges already factored in.

    The report shows
    • Win ratio, expectancy, max drawdown
    • Sharpe ratio and profit factor
    • Slippage and statutory charges deducted
  4. 04

Deploy, monitor, and stay in control

Go live. When your conditions are met, orders are sent through your broker’s official API. You watch fills and positions in real time — with the portfolio loss lock underneath everything and a kill switch that flattens the book from any device.

    Always on
    • Live fills and P&L in the terminal
    • Portfolio MTM loss lock as the hard floor
    • One-click kill switch for full square-off
    • Paper-trade first, go live when you choose

Run your first backtest the same day

The account is free; the backtester doesn’t need live capital. Start with the setup you already know.
